雕塑“东西方人“ 的形状及创意是来源自汉字“人“.他象征着人类的发展永向着前方。

这个雕塑能作为指路牌，比如在“港口城市”的地铁站就可以运用到，在各个出口，

去向都可以用这个雕塑表示。同样也可以把他作为人行横道的标志。

这样对于未来港口城市的居住者和游客来说就更为方便，他们同时也会觉得很有趣，

这种以雕塑作为指路的系统会深深的吸引住来自世界各地的游客. 同样这个创意也可以在别的城市实施.

这个项目也已经展示给了汉堡的各大政府机构.

The “Eurasian figure” is an international symbol. This sculpture has two origins: One is the Chinese character “REN" ( = human being); the other origin is from the European middle age. Painters like Hieronymus Bosch used such "head leg figures" in a lot of different ways in their paintings as a symbol for the change of the european middle age society into a new society with science and new values.

Using this "Eurasian figure" as a guiding system will create a unique artwork, which has a real function. The direction, the sculpture is "walking", you have to walk as an pedestrian to reach a determined place.
This signpost indicating network would also be a great idea for other places in the world.
This concept was introduced to the public in 2006 on the series of performances "ChinaTime" in Hamburg.

So the “Eurasian Sculpture" is a symbol for mankind anywhere in this world, which changed always in history and also of course today its place; it is a symbol for the thinking walker:
